What is Centre Nautique Guy Châtel

The Centre Nautique Guy Châtel is the aquatic facility of the Faucigny-Glières community of municipalities, located in Ayse right next to Bonneville. It brings together a 25-metre sports pool with six lanes, a learner pool with a moveable floor and a paddling pool for toddlers — all heated and open year-round. The venue caters for open swim, school swimming lessons, swimming and water-polo clubs, and group sessions (aqua-gym, aqua-bike, baby swim).

In summer the outdoor area transforms the place: leisure pool with slide, grass solarium, beach-volley courts and a seasonal snack bar turn the centre into a mini aquatic resort. It is one of the few pools in the Faucigny valley to offer this dual seasonality, much loved by Bonneville families and visitors passing through the Arve valley. Entry is by single ticket, ticket book or season pass, with reductions for children, students and CCFG residents.

Practically, the centre is easy to reach from the A40 motorway (Bonneville/Marignier exit), with a large free car park. It is open every day except exceptional public holidays, with separate time slots for the public, schools and clubs — checking the weekly schedule before visiting is recommended. Individual and group changing rooms, coin-lockers, soap showers and wheelchair access are available. Swim cap mandatory in the sports pool.
