What is Olympic Pool of Thonon

The Olympic Pool of Thonon is a large aquatic facility set right on the shore of Lake Geneva at Thonon-les-Bains. It combines a 50-metre Olympic outdoor pool, a children's pool and several diving boards, doubled with a beach facing the lake. A major public facility of Thonon Agglomération, it opens for the summer season, from May to September.

The complex offers direct access to the Lake Geneva shoreline, so swimmers can switch between the pool and open-water bathing in the lake itself, with a view across to the Vaud Alps on the Swiss side.
