What is Jardin Alpin des Montets — Vallorcine

The Jardin Alpin des Montets is an outdoor botanical garden at the Col des Montets, in the municipality of Vallorcine, within the Aiguilles Rouges National Nature Reserve. The discovery trail presents alpine and subalpine flora over a few hundred metres, with boards explaining species, habitats and conservation.

To see. Edelweiss, gentians, rhododendrons, primulas and many other iconic high-altitude species. The trail is paired with the reserve's welcome chalet (in season), where naturalist guides offer information and guided outings. Panoramic views of the Aiguille Verte, the Mont-Blanc massif and the Vallorcine valley.

Good to know. Free access in summer season (July to late August, snow-dependent). Easy trail, family-friendly; duration 1-2h. Free parking at the Col des Montets.
