What is Jardin des Cimes

The Jardin des Cimes is a contemporary landscape alpine garden at the Plateau d'Assy in Passy (74190), Haute-Savoie. It is laid out as five themed gardens: a kitchen garden, a sensory garden, an exotic garden, an alpine garden and a rockery — a planted journey through the world's mountain flora.

The setting is the garden's signature feature: an uninterrupted view of the Mont-Blanc massif (4,810 m), the Aiguilles de Chamonix and the Dômes de Miage. Few French gardens can offer this kind of high-mountain backdrop, which the contemporary landscape design plays with throughout the visit.

2026 fares: adult €7.50, free under 12. Season: 8 May to 27 September 2026, daily 10 am–6 pm. Partial wheelchair access (the garden is on a slope).
