The Uffin Walking Loop (Boucle d'Uffin) is a 4.4 km family stroll laid out entirely within the commune of Neydens, in the French Genevois, 15 minutes from Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and 20 minutes from Annecy. Waymarked in green and rated very easy by the Monts du Genevois Tourist Office, it suits both beginner walkers and families, with a modest climb of 67 metres and a walking time of about 1 hour 30.
The route leaves the village centre and crosses the countryside of the Neydens plateau at the foot of the Saleve, through a landscape typical of the French Genevois: hedgerows, orchards, hay meadows and woodland edges. It offers open viewpoints over the Geneva plain, the Jura range and, on clear days, the Mont Blanc massif.
Open year-round, it suits all-terrain strollers and dogs on leads — a gentle alternative to the more demanding hikes of the nearby Saleve. With the Vitam water park, the Saleve cable car and the A40 motorway nearby, it is also an easy warm-up to discover the Genevois with the family.
