What is Senses and Discovery of Farm Animals Walking Trail

The 'Senses and Discovery of Farm Animals' Walking Trail is one of the two flagship routes of the Ferme de Chosal, an educational farm at Copponex, in the French Genevois area, 15 min from Cruseilles. The trail invites visitors to observe and approach the farm animals in their enclosures, set in beautifully landscaped grounds.

Along the way visitors meet donkeys, sheep, goats, billy goats, pigs, hens, pheasants, guinea fowl, rabbits and guinea pigs. Panels describe the life, diet and behaviour of each species. The trail complements the barefoot 'Nature et Sens' sensory loop on the same site. The Ferme de Chosal is run by a workforce integration organisation that trains and employs people with disabilities: visits therefore also have a real social and inclusive dimension. The farm is open from 5 April to 3 November, 10 am to 6 pm (last entry 4.30 pm), with admission at €9.80 for adults and €7 for children; under-2s are free and reduced rates are available for groups, schools and visitors with disabilities.
