What is Super-Châtel Gondola
The Super-Châtel Gondola departs from Châtel village centre (1,200 m) and climbs to 1,650 m in a few minutes, in the northern part of the Portes du Soleil area. The summit platform opens onto a panorama of the Dents du Midi and the Chablais range, with access to marked hiking trails and the summer facilities of the Super-Châtel plateau. The lower station sits at the foot of the village with free parking.
In July and August, the 2-hectare, 6-metre-deep alpine lake of Super-Châtel is accessible from the gondola arrival — also reachable on foot in 50 minutes from the village. A mountain restaurant, the Morclan chairlift (access to 1,970 m) and MTB trails complete the summer offering. The gondola runs from 26 June to 31 August 2026 in summer; in winter, it is the main village entry point to the Châtel ski domain.
