The Détective Nature walking loop is a family-friendly educational circuit on the Vuache Nature Trail, a discovery path created by the Vuache Inter-municipal Authority (SIV) across the villages of Jonzier-Épagny, Chênex, Dingy-en-Vuache and Savigny, just 15 km from Geneva. The idea: turn a walk into a treasure hunt, supported by the network of 15 educational panels along the trail.
The SIV provides two free Détective Nature booklets, downloadable from pays-du-vuache.fr or available at local Tourist Offices and the town hall — one for ages 8–10, one for ages 10 and up. Each booklet contains a question-and-answer game whose answers can be found on the trail panels (fauna, flora, geology, habitat), plus crosswords, word searches, animals to colour or draw.
The format suits families with primary-school children, school outings and nature clubs. The trail is doable in any season but spring and early summer are richest for wildlife observation.
