Dévalkart de Manigod: several-hundred-metre rail descent in the heart of the Manigod / La Croix-Fry resort, chairlift access, mountain thrills and Aravis panorama.

The Dévalkart de Manigod is a mountain coaster (rail luge) in the heart of the Manigod / La Croix-Fry resort, in the Aravis massif. The descent, on a secured rail, runs several hundred metres with banked turns, controlled jumps and straights for guaranteed thrills. The driver controls speed using brake levers, making the activity accessible to families while allowing the more daring to race down at full speed. The return to the start is usually by chairlift (often included in the pass).
Who is it for? Dévalkart welcomes families, children accompanied by an adult (often from age 3 as a passenger, from age 8 as a driver subject to size), groups of friends and tourists staying in Manigod, La Clusaz, Annecy or elsewhere in the Aravis. It's a flagship summer activity in the resort, alongside hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. A descent lasts 3 to 5 minutes depending on pace, and can be repeated as often as you like with multi-descent passes.
Practical info and access. The Dévalkart is mainly open from June to September (subject to weather and resort opening). Booking is generally not required — tickets on site. Expect €5-8 per descent, with 5/10/day passes at lower per-descent rates. The site is at the Manigod / La Croix-Fry resort, accessible by car from Annecy via Thônes (~40 min) or from La Clusaz (~15 min). Resort parking, chairlift departure close to the Dévalkart. Combines well with a family day at the resort and a mountain restaurant lunch.
From Annecy (~30 km), D909 to Thônes then D12 to Manigod and La Croix-Fry, ~40 min. From Geneva (~70 km), A41 exit Annecy then as above, ~1h15. Resort parking.
