What is Villa du Parc
The Villa du Parc is one of the few contemporary art centres in Haute-Savoie to hold the 'Centre d'art contemporain d'intérêt national' label, awarded by the French Minister of Culture in 2020 (source CNAP - Centre national des arts plastiques). Set inside an 1865 villa in the heart of the Parc Montessuit, at 12 rue de Genève in Annemasse, it is a major cultural institution of the Greater Geneva area on the French side.
The programme features three to four temporary contemporary-art exhibitions a year, alongside artists' residencies, outreach activities for young audiences, talks and meet-the-artist events. The Villa du Parc defends an ambitious yet accessible contemporary art, with strong outreach work in local schools and a dedicated focus on emerging artists.
Free entry for all visitors. Season: year-round, closed between exhibitions. Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Parc Montessuit setting makes the visit a pleasant outing, easily combined with a walk in the park. Accessible for visitors with reduced mobility (ground floor and exhibition rooms).
