The Vuaz Leisure Area is a free public leisure space managed by the commune of Fillière, located in the hamlet of Le Vuaz at Aviernoz, a short distance from the village centre of Thorens-Glières, at the foot of the Parmelan massif. The site borders the Fillière river and offers a peaceful natural setting 13 km north-east of Annecy.
Confirmed facilities include a children's playground with swings, climbing frames and slides, picnic tables, a free-access barbecue and a pétanque court. The leisure area also lists other items (a zipline for ages 5–15, a ping-pong table, toddler games) which are worth checking on site. Parking is free on Route de la Louvatière, and pets are welcome.
Aviernoz is one of the five historic villages that merged on 1 January 2017 to form the new commune of Fillière (with Évires, Les Ollières, Saint-Martin-Bellevue and Thorens-Glières). The village keeps its identity and its postal code 74570. The leisure area is open all year, freely accessible 24/7, with no ticketing or set opening hours.
