What is Évian-les-Bains Watersports Centre
The Évian-les-Bains watersports centre is one of the main access points to water activities on the southern shore of Lake Geneva. Set on the Évian beach area, on avenue du Général Dupas, it offers both self-guided rentals (paddle, single or double kayak, pedalo, rowing boats) and supervised sessions run by the instructors of Évian's historic sailing club.
Practical info: the centre is open every day in summer from 1 pm to 7 pm, with a late session on Thursday until 9 pm. Supervised sessions run all summer: kayak and stand-up paddle on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, rowing on Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoons, sailing on Wednesday afternoon from early July to late August. A supervised swimming area is also open on the adjacent beach from June to September (12 pm–6 pm, 11 am–7 pm in July–August).
The centre lets visitors and locals alike enjoy Lake Geneva in a unique setting — the Léman opening onto the Swiss shore, Évian's belle-époque promenade, the panorama of the Vaud mountains — at affordable group rates (paddle from €15/h, kayak €20/h, supervised sessions around €25/session).
