What is The Coteau Loops

The Coteau Loops form a network of shaded woodland walking trails crisscrossing the commune of Publier (74500), between its hillside village and the Amphion-les-Bains plain on Lake Geneva. The route combines mixed forest, orchards, meadows and balcony viewpoints over Lake Geneva and the Swiss shore (Lausanne, Vevey).

The network is organised in three concentric loops marked with the classic hiking colour code: green (easiest), blue (intermediate), red (longest). About 5.5 km of trails and 200 m of cumulative climb total, averaging 2 hours at a family pace; shorter loops complete in 1 hour. Five entry panels are installed around the commune as gateways to the network, with maps and difficulty ratings.

The Coteau Loops are a good option for half-day families looking for fresh air between the lake and the foothills, with shaded passages in summer and lake panoramas in clear weather.
