What is Secrets de fées - Discovery Trails

The Secrets de fées are four themed interpretive trails laid out across the Plateau des Moises, at Habère-Poche in the Vallée Verte. Each loop is guided by a fairy godmother — Hydris for water (Les Sources Claires, 1 h 30), Florine for flora (Les Prés Fleuris, 1 h), Bohême for landscapes (Le Beau Pays, 1 h 15) and Sylvaine for the forest (Les Vertes Forêts, 1 h 15) — with wooden three-panel posts dotting the route, sharing natural history facts and coded messages.

The project is run by the Office de tourisme des Alpes du Léman and the Foyer nordique des Moises. It introduces families to mountain life past and present while encouraging respect for nature: alpine flora, streams, summer pastures, plateau landscapes and mixed forest. The trails suit family outings as much as gentle walks for adults, and can be tackled on snowshoes in winter depending on snow cover. The discovery booklet with accessories costs €5 at the Tourist Office or at the Foyer des Moises; without it, the trails remain walkable but lose much of their playful magic.
