Hirmentaz (Bellevaux commune) and Les Habères (Habère-Poche commune) are two family village resorts in the Vallée Verte, in the Chablais, about thirty kilometres from Genève and about twenty from Thonon-les-Bains and Annemasse. They are indeed two separate resorts in origin, but their ski areas are linked, together forming the Hirmentaz–Les Habères massif.
On the Hirmentaz side, the area offers 25 pistes of all levels between 1 100 m and 1 610 m, served by 14 lifts including 3 chairlifts, with a beginner circuit, a snowpark, a boardercross and a beginner tow lift. On the Les Habères side, the area has 18 pistes (2 green, 7 blue, 6 red, 1 black), with a dedicated fun beginner area, « Le Monde de Perce-Neige ». Once linked, the two sectors total 43 pistes and up to 50 km of pistes according to the official websites.
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are offered across the massif (named trails on the Hirmentaz side: lac de Vallon, Les Tourbières, Yakoo; the Mouilles nordic sector in Bellevaux attached to the area according to the town hall), with no official distance given. Each resort also has its own secure sledging run.
Beyond skiing, the sector gives access to natural and leisure sites of the Vallée Verte and the Chablais: the waterfall of la Diomaz, the lac de Vallon, the plateau de Loëx, the Acroparc de Bellavallis and the Musée de la Faune in Bellevaux.
