What is Praz de Lys – Sommand

Praz de Lys – Sommand is a family resort in Haute-Savoie, spread across two sunny, linked plateaus and spanning two communes: Taninges (Praz de Lys sector) and Mieussy (Sommand sector). From the summit of Haut-Fleury, the panorama opens 360° onto Mont-Blanc and the Jura.

The alpine ski area has 23 lifts for 52 slopes (7 green, 27 blue, 12 red and black runs), totalling 55 km of pistes, with two beginner sectors equipped with magic carpets, a snowpark with boardercross and two ski touring routes.

The resort is also a major destination for cross-country skiing: the area, labelled Haute-Savoie Nordic and presented as one of the largest in the department, offers 60 km of cross-country trails (including 11 groomed) through alpine pastures and forests.

Off the slopes, the area invites you to discover the château de Taninges park and to visit Mieussy, the birthplace of paragliding, where hiking, mountain biking and climbing take over from skiing as soon as the weather turns fine.
