Dog-sled rides, mushing initiation and cani-hiking in Les Gets, Portes du Soleil resort. By booking, December to April depending on snow.
The quieter north-facing side of Les Gets: 5-minute gondola to the Mont-Chéry summit (1,535 m), 360° views of Mont Blanc and Lac Léman, hiking and MTB with a wilder feel.

The Mont-Chéry gondola is a 6-person lift operated by SOLEGETS at Les Gets (74260). It connects the village centre (1,162 m) to the Mont-Chéry summit (1,535 m) in 5 minutes, with a 373 m vertical rise and a throughput of about 1,200 people per hour. Built in 1981 and upgraded, it allows both uphill and downhill passenger travel — less common than gondolas that only carry guests uphill. The lower station sits 200 m from the village centre, next to the main parking areas.
Mont-Chéry is the quieter north-facing flank of Les Gets, celebrated for its 360° panorama spanning the Mont Blanc massif, the Aravis range, Lac Léman and the Dents du Midi. In summer, its MTB trails host the UCI MTB World Cup every late August. Two mountain restaurants (Le Belvédère and Les Chevrelles) are open in season, and a marked paragliding take-off is located at the summit.
From Cluses (A40 exit 19), take D902 via Taninges to Les Gets, approx. 25 min. From Geneva, A41 then D902 via Morzine or N205 via Cluses. Lower station is in the village centre; use Les Gets village car parks (200 m).
Open in MapsLihsa bus line 60 (Cluses – Les Gets) serves the village centre. Free ski shuttles run within the resort in winter from peripheral car parks.
