What is Parc des Dérêches

The Parc des Dérêches is a municipal natural park with over 5 km of trails along the Dranse, in the heart of Morzine. Created to offer residents and visitors a protected green space without cars or buildings, the park features a main loop of 4.5 km accessible to all, plus secondary loops allowing you to vary distances. The wide, shaded paths beneath century-old trees are suitable for pushchairs and bicycles.

The park includes a fitness trail with 20 educational stations spread along the Dranse, a skate park renovated in 2015, tennis and padel courts (Tennis Club Morzine), an equestrian centre, a pumptrack, children's play areas, and adjacent paid facilities (Water Park, ice rinks, Sports and Congress Hall). The site is crossed by several bridges allowing you to create short or long loops as desired.

Parc des Dérêches also hosts a permanent orientation course with 20 checkpoints (maps available at the Tourist Office and Sports Hall), accessible on foot, bicycle or horseback year-round. Picnic areas and benches are spread throughout the trails, making the park a place of relaxation and sport for all ages and abilities.

When to visit

Parc des Dérêches is open year-round and offers very different atmospheres depending on the season. Summer (June–September), the shaded trails beneath century-old trees provide welcome coolness; this is the ideal period for family walks, morning jogging and the fitness trail. The park is very busy in July–August. Autumn (October–November) is quieter, with golden colours along the Dranse. Winter (December–April), trails remain passable (cleared of snow), and adjacent facilities (outdoor ice rink, Water Park) are very active. Spring (April–May) sees the return of greenery and visitors after the ski season.
