The Musée de la Musique Mécanique in Les Gets is one of Haute-Savoie's most extraordinary museums, bringing nearly 1,000 mechanical music instruments back to life in a collection regarded as one of the richest in Europe. At the heart of the Les Gets resort, it is spread across two buildings (A and B), both led by musician-guides who turn the cranks, punch the rolls and bring the mechanisms to life.
Building A, the main museum, gathers carillons, clocks, music boxes, orchestrions, orchestrelles, mechanical pianos and barrel organs. Building B is devoted to automata and phonographs, and recreates a Belle Époque fairground with its fair organ and games. The guided musical visit lasts about 1 hour 30 per building and is a memorable sensory experience.
Prices: Building A 10 EUR adult / 6 EUR child (4-15), Building B 8 EUR / 5 EUR, combined A+B 14 EUR / 9 EUR, family pass 38 EUR. Open from 21 December 2025 to 31 October 2026, daily 2-7pm (closed Saturdays from 1 January to 30 April). Closed 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. Annual closure 1 November-20 December.
