What is Clos Parchet Farm Ecomuseum

The Clos Parchet Farm Ecomuseum is one of the finest showcases of the Haut-Giffre rural heritage. A traditional 1815 farm carefully preserved and opened to the public in 1994, it brings back daily life on the sunny southern slopes of Samoëns. The collection includes over 2,000 period utensils — tools, cookware, looms, clogs, sledges — telling the story of farm work and the old trades of the upper Giffre valley.

Visits are guided by the Heritage Guides of Savoie Mont Blanc, through the cuzna (kitchen), pèle (parlour), byre, bread oven and barn. Adult €8, under 12 free; reservation recommended in season.
