Les Brasses is a family station-village in the Massif des Brasses, between Vallée Verte and Faucigny, about 30 minutes from Genève. The resort is run by an intercommunal association bringing together the communes of Onnion, Saint-Jeoire, Bogève and Viuz-en-Sallaz.
The alpine ski area ranges from 900 to 1 503 m in altitude and offers 20 slopes (4 green, 5 blue, 8 red, 3 black) covering more than 37 km, served by 12 lifts including 2 magic carpets, 2 chairlifts and 8 draglifts, with a dedicated beginner area.
The labelled Plaine-Joux Nordic area rounds out the offer with 40 km of cross-country ski trails for skating and classic technique, for all levels — one of the notable Nordic areas right next to Genève. There is also a snowpark, a freeride/boardercross area, a sledging run, 3 snowshoe trails, ski-joring, dog sledding and biathlon.
In summer, the resort turns to hiking — notably to Pointe des Brasses (1 503 m) with its panorama over the Léman Alps, Mont-Blanc and the Jura — mountain biking, climbing and via ferrata. Nearby, the heritage of the Vallée Verte can be discovered at the Écomusée Paysalp and the Musée Paysan in Viuz-en-Sallaz, or at the château de Beauregard in Saint-Jeoire.
