What is K2 Parapente Doussard

K2 Parapente is a paragliding school based in Doussard, at the southern end of Lake Annecy. The school offers commercial tandem flights and instruction courses from the legendary Col de la Forclaz (Montmin) site, considered one of Europe's best paragliding spots for its views over the lake, the Bauges and the Aravis ranges. Landing is on the large meadow or Doussard beach below.

Packages range from the discovery flight (15-20 minutes, perfect for a first sensation) to the thermal flight of 30-45 minutes (chasing dynamic uplifts), and the sensation flight (with acrobatic figures on request). Instructors are state-certified (BEES/DEJEPS); harness and helmet are provided, and a video/photo souvenir is optional. No experience is required for tandem flights; you just need to be able to run a few steps for take-off.

The activity is weather-dependent. The season runs roughly from April to October, with optimal conditions in the morning (calm flights, ideal for first-timers) or late afternoon (thermals for those who love sensations). Booking is essential. Plan 2-3h on site (meeting at take-off, briefing, flight, return transport). Conditions vary, so your slot may be moved or rescheduled; keep some flexibility in your programme.
