What is Plage de Doussard

The Plage de Doussard (nicknamed 'Douss'Plage') is a sand-and-lawn beach at the southern tip of Lake Annecy at Doussard, bordered directly by the Réserve naturelle nationale du Bout du Lac d'Annecy (115 hectares, Natura 2000). The natural delta, reedbeds and protected wildlife make for an outstanding setting that combines bathing and untouched nature.

The beach offers a wide sand-and-lawn area with a floating pontoon in summer. The Club Nautique Doussard, next door, hires out paddleboards, kayaks and sailing boats. The beach is also the western terminus of the Voie verte du Lac d'Annecy, a great cycling route along the lake.

Lifeguards on duty July-August 2026. 2026 summer prices: adult free (paying car park 1 May-30 September), child free. Blue Flag 2026: no. Step-free access: yes (ramp, reserved space, accessible showers).
