What is Plage de Duingt

The Plage de Duingt is a 120 m lawn beach on the western shore of Lake Annecy, facing the iconic Château de Duingt (Ruphy), a medieval fortress set on a rocky islet, one of the most photographed views on the lake. Large shade trees, gentle slope and sandy entry make for a family-friendly setting.

The beach is officially supervised by lifeguards in July and August, with a swimming area marked out by buoys. The local water-sports club next door offers paddle, kayak and catamaran hire, and the 'La Petite Fringale' guinguette serves drinks and small bites. A free summer shuttle and the lakeside Voie verte make access easy without a car.
