Become a partnerOn the Route des Grandes Alpes, the Dranse has carved a dizzying canyon climbed on walkways bolted to the rock — a site developed for over 130 years, open even in the rain.

The Gorges du Pont du Diable form a deep canyon carved by the Dranse river at the hamlet of « Le Jotty » in the commune of La Vernaz, between Thonon-les-Bains and the Vallée d'Aulps. Developed for visitors since the late 19th century, the site is explored via a network of metal walkways anchored to the rock face, close to the water and the glacial potholes. The route climbs about 110 metres and includes many stairs.
